He and Daragh later went to Pittsburgh with the Yellowjackets, and moved into NHL company when the Pirates
were formed. Hib's career was at it's peak in Pittsburgh. He consitently led the team in points in all but
one season, and went to the playoffs in 1925-26 and 1927-28.
Once hard times fell on the Pittsburgh franchise, Hib, like most players, joined the newly founded
Philadelphia Quakers. Again, he led the team in goals, but could not help the team from finishing
in the basement of the league in it's one and only season. Finally, following the Quakers dispersal draft,
Hib landed in one of the "High Class" clubs, signing with the New York Rangers. But a first line player from
a second grade team had a hard time as a second line player in a first grade team. In 48 games, Hib
managed only 4 assists, and no goals. Although his actual playing time is not known, he likely played
very little, as he only had 12 penalty minutes in the whole season, while averaging about 50 in his
previous 6 NHL seasons.
